About Us
What started out as an organizational tool for my family has now turned
into a passion of mine to help others get organized.
With the encouragement of friends, I have created a system to store one’s
personal and financial records. I have created
The
L.I.F.E. Binder (“Life
Information For
Emergencies”) to consolidate all those important papers in
one place. The binder can be custom made to your own needs. A Microsoft
Word formatted CD is provided with generic information that is replaced
with your own data. The binder is sorted by categories including finances,
medical records, assets and insurance, employment history, income tax
returns, legal documents, and personal documents such as birth
certificates and social security cards, marriage license, passports, etc.
I learned first hand what it was like to flee in an emergency. When
Hurricane Rita was targeting the Texas coast in September 2005, I grabbed
my family and
The L.I.F.E. Binder and headed north.
After the excitement of Hurricane Rita settled down, friends shared
stories about what they took when they fled and what they had wished they
had taken. Many realized that they were unprepared for an emergency. I
realized there was a market for
The L.I.F.E. Binder and began selling them
to friends.
Encouraging are the comments that I have received.
So many people want to get organized but don’t know where to begin. The
binder takes the guesswork out of what to keep and record, and it can be
updated as information changes.
I am a “retired” CPA with a B.A. degree in Accounting from Michigan State
University. I was an auditor for "a Big 8" accounting firm and an accounting manager
for a computer company before leaving the work force to stay home to raise
my family. I am currently employed with an oil and gas firm in Houston, TX
and live in Spring, TX with my husband and 3 teenagers. |
